Voice & audio
Two directions: her voice out, your voice in. Both have simple failure points.
Her voice (TTS)
- Aszurre speaks through a cloud voice service, so she needs an internet connection to talk out loud.
- She writes but doesn't speak? Check your output device in Windows sound settings first — the classic culprit is audio routed to a monitor or a sleeping headset.
- Still silent with the right device? Restart the app; if it persists, report it in the forum — voice-service issues on our side look exactly like this and we want to know.
Your voice (push-to-talk)
- Set a push-to-talk key in the app settings and hold it while speaking — she listens only while the key is down, never in the background.
- She doesn't react to your speech? Make sure the right microphone is selected in the app and that Windows microphone privacy settings allow desktop apps to use it.
- Speech recognition runs locally on your machine — the first use may take a moment while the model warms up.
Both at once
- Using a virtual audio cable for streaming? Double-check that Aszurre's output goes to the device your OBS actually captures.
- Exclusive-mode audio apps (some games, ASIO software) can steal the device — if audio dies when a game starts, that's where to look.
